Improved access to online information!

We have made a little change of our website's appearance, made it more visual and hopefully attracting more interest. However, the main change is involved in the English section!

Visual and better access to information in other languages: The most important information has been translated into these languages: German, French, Russian, Danish, Swedish and Polish. The flags of these languages, including English and Icelandic, have been beautifully placed at the blue line at the top to the right. You just have to click each flag to get info in that language.

English however has been improved a lot! You can honestly say that the library has two versions of its website: one in Icelandic and one in English. You can find almost every information from the Icelandic (main) website being translated into English. Like stated earlier, simply click the British flag or directly enter "www.akureyri.is/amtsbokasafn-en" to get to the English section.

By doing this we believe that people with Icelandic not as their first/main language will have better access and understanding of what goes on in the library, get better overview of our work. We'll have one event calendar in Icelandic and one in English. Same event will be advertised bilingually, if needed.

Hopefully this will attract more people to the website and of course the library. All information and pointers on how to improve the website (in any language) is very well appreciated!
