Icelandic Literary Prize and the Drop of Blood
Dear readers! Last week it was announced who were the ones receiving the Icelandic Literary Prize and the Drop of Blood for books published in 2023.
These are of course books in Icelandic, but we have had a picture at our ad-screen in the library that shows all the nominations in the categories of best children and youth books, best non-fiction books and best novels and best crime books. Now, this slide has been edited so that you can still see all the nominees but also the winners are highlighted.
We probably don't have to mention this, but all these books are available in our library holdings, and it is very common that when books receive awards and/or increased recognition, they become more popular in our library. We therefore want to remind you that you can order books ... and it doesn't cost anything!
