Saturday, 31st of August, Human Library is hosting an event at the Municipal Library of Akureyri from 12pm to 3pm.
You can come by to borrow an open Book for a conversation about prejudices and diversity. The concept is simple; you show up at the library where you receive guidance from the librarians on the topics available for lending. Once you have chosen which open Book you would like to talk to, you can sit and have an open conversation for half an hour where every question on the topic is welcome.
The Human Library was created in Copenhagen in the spring of 2000 and since then they have hosted or been involved in activities in 85 countries.
There you get an opportunity to chat with individuals to hear their stories in their own words.
Here are some examples of Human Books that have been available in Human Library events around the world:
ADHD, AA, Burnout, Immigrant.
