Grímsey is one of the places which provide great view of the midnight sun during the summertime (June-July).
This is because Grímsey is the northern most part ofIcelandand theArctic Circlecrosses it. Therefore at summer solstice on the 20 – 22.st of June (which of these days depends upon each year) the sun remains constantly above the horizon for 24 hours.
