No mountains are in Grímsey and therefore no trolls exist there. But another creature is said to have adapted to this environment which is called “Bakkakarlinn” that is a human like creature that lives along the edges of the coast. Children are told that if they go to close to the edges, this creature might take them.

A tale created in order to scare children from getting to close to dangerous edges and falling into the sea.
