Library of Mother Tongue at the Municipal Library!

This year Bókasafn Móðurmáls (Library of Mother Tongue) – together with Akureyri City Library, invites you to a book exchange/donation market in Amtsbókasafnið on Tuesday February 13th from 4 pm to 6.30 pm

We are giving away lots of good children’s books in various languages. These are all extra copies or books that are not suited to the library, and we are hoping for them to get a new home.
Everybody is encouraged to bring books for children and youngsters in any language to exchange so that they can bring joy in new homes.

Móðurmál's library is a voluntary base library with foreign languages for children and youth. We have around 8500 books in 94 languages and it's possible to see our collection on modurmal.leitir.is (union catalogue for Icelandic libraries). The library is located in Suðurlandsbraut 6 and is open every Friday from 15-17 and also 1-2 Saturdays every month. Further information can be found at https://www.modurmal.com/library/
