Fisherman's Day (First Sunday in June)

Fisherman's Day, known as "Sjómannadagur" in Icelandic, is an annual event dedicated to honoring Iceland's seafaring culture and its sailors. Traditionally held on the first Sunday in June, the celebration includes various activities. In Grímsey, the festivities provides an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate with different activities and a coffee buffet organized by the women's organization at the Múli community center.
